It can be difficult to stay healthy during the holidays with all of the decadent food, cold weather, and flurry of activity. We have a few simple tips to help you stay healthy during the hectic holiday season! And we have a special little giveaway below with a few necessities!

Hydration – The holidays are a great time to treat yourself to a glass of wine (or two), but remember to keep yourself hydrated with lots of water. You can enter to win a Swell insulated water bottle below to help you stay hydrated throughout the holiday season. You might also want to consider switching out the coffee with anti-oxidant rich green tea, which you can keep nice and hot in your new bottle!

Vitamins – Vitamins are essential to your everyday health and well-being, but sometimes you need a little extra boost, especially around the holidays when your energy is low. Vitamin C is a great supplement to keep around for you and your family to get a little extra immune support. Enter below to win a box of Emergen-C, packed with essential vitamins and nutrients to keep you healthy during the holidays.

Superfoods – You don’t just get important vitamins and nutrients from supplements, you can also get them from the foods you eat this holiday season. Superfoods are foods that are particularly full of vitamins and nutrients that are important to your health. You might want to consider incorporating some of these foods into your holiday meals to benefit the whole family.

You can find lists and recipes for good superfood packed meals with a simple Google search. A few of our favorite superfoods are Salmon, Brussel Sprouts, Cranberries, and Sweet Potatoes!

Relaxation – It can be extremely difficult to take the time to relax during the holidays when you’re constantly surrounded by friends and relatives, cooking and entertaining. The best way to fit in a bit of restorative relaxation is to take advantage of having your friends and relatives around. Ask your parents, siblings, or friends to watch your little ones while you fit in a nap or a yoga class for yourself.

One of our own TempTraq team members was visiting relatives over Thanksgiving and said she was able to take a nap for the first time in years, thanks to her parents taking her daughters out to the mall for a day! If you have the support, don’t be afraid to ask for help!
